T doesn't like to make plans for the weekend. He prefers to enjoy his spare time like it comes, whereas i can't stand hanging around, waiting for something to happen. This sunday i managed to make a plan around no plan though. I didn't tell him that i had one, i invited friends for breakfast - veeery spontanously. "Do you mind having T and J around? No? Good!". T(F) was in on the secret of the perfectly organized sunday program and came up with the rest of the things i wanted to do and it wasn't my fault when T(M) found himself in the middle of a perfectly arranged sunday schedule. Well done!!
After our jummy breakfast we went to Charlottenburg, where T(F) and me went to an exhibition about surealism, while J and T(M) (the culture grouches) took a walk through the lovely Charlottenburg Schlosspark. I was pretty sceptic about the surrealism thing as well. I really dont like Dali and Konsorten but it was soo super interesting to find out about all the pioneers of what we link with surealism. We saw a whole series of graphic prints of Goya. Humorous and clever at the same time he came up with surreal stories around people and human animals, depicting his critique of the society at his time. Also very impressing to see "in real" was Giovanni Battista Piranesi's "Imaginary Prisons". Very gloomy drawings of a fantasy architecture that reminds of theater and the hell... What i liked most was a drawing by te French poet Victor Hugo. I will post a scan later. It has only some very random shapes and lines of ink on it. But while looking at it you can see an island... sorry sounds stupid but it is very beautiful. I will post some more details about the exhibition later....
After the eshibition we followed my sister A's tips: fleamarket at Fehrbelliner Platz and the amazing Thai market. I had a delicious green papaya salad and wan tans of all sorts, annanas for dessert, which wasn't as good as in thailand of course.
Back in the east of the city: two classics. Lot's of plum cake at Hufelandstrasse and a lovely walk through the woods and swim in our favourite lake.

well done, sister! sneaking plans in... is the second image the beautiful oval baroque building back in the schlosspark charlottenburg, where the china (porzellan) is exhibited? i love that building and think, if we ever build a little hous for us, it needs to be oval. a lovely weekend, it seems. curious about the drawing, please post it. dicken kuss, d
